Sound of the Pocomoke
Neal Hooks & the Pocomoke Sound are children of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, born and raised along the banks of the deep and mighty Pocomoke River. Neal Hooks (Rhythm Guitar/vocals) will snatch a blue crab from the water faster than his mama can shuck an oyster, while Gabe Resto (Rhythm/Lead Guitar) only ever puts down his guitar to pick up a fishing pole and go haunt the ponds and rivers of Delmarva. Jeremy Mason (Drums) is a hard working, kind hearted family man who spends his spare time tearing down old houses with his bare hands and then putting them back together. Jon Ennis (Bass- *not the fish*) usually has some form of axel grease or turtle wax on his hands or in his beard (just give him a fist bump, trust me). We all Llove crabbing... and we all Llove making this art together.
In Neal's words...
"I was raised by musicians and story tellers, and I'll spend my life trying to share what I've heard, seen, tasted, felt, Lloved... even what I've broken. There's a patch for each on my life's quilt... these songs are our way of stitching the seams."
Neal Hooks & the Pocomoke Sound are cooking up several projects in 2026 and beyond, so subscribe to the mailing list below to keep up with new releases, as well as exciting new merch and other news... maybe crab cakes too? One Llove always and ALL WAYS~ Nealio
